Because It’s So Important

The undeniable importance of the Miss USA pageant cannot be overstated.   Bimbos come from across this great land to show off their bodies and incredibly limited scope of understanding on the most basic of subjects.  They preen, prattle and prance across a stage.  They sing and dance and recite poetry.  And all of this is right and good and important to us all because men like looking at near naked ladies and women love to be envious…Just kidding, girls.

But….God (specifically the Christian one) forbid one of these vacuous vixens be a Muslim!  Where is the sanctity?  First they let those darkies in and now Muslims?  What’s a good white Christian girl to do?  The runner up from Oklahoma seems to have Carrie Prejean as a role model.  She stood up for the Arizona Immigration law when asked about it and it appears, though who knows or really cares, to have affected the judges and they picked Miss Muslim of Michigan instead of Miss Okra of Oklahoma.  And you know what?  The right wing is shocked and angry.  Yes!  Shocked and angry.  Liberal bias in Miss Bikini USA!

Think Progress tells us:

In winning the title, Fakih defeated first runner-up Miss Oklahoma Morgan Elizabeth Woolard, who garnered headlines when she responded to a judge’s question about immigration policy by saying that she was “perfectly fine” with Arizona’s radical new immigration law. Just as they erupted over Carrie Prejean’s loss in the Miss USA contest 2009, the right is again alleging a liberal bias against Woolard. But many more right-wingers are enraged over Fakih’s crowning:

– Conservative radio host Debbie Schlussel blamed Fakih’s win on a supposed “politically correct, Islamo-pandering climate” in America and labeled her a “Lebanese Muslim Hezbollah supporter with relatives who are top terrorists.” [5/16/10]

– Right wing pundit and Fox contributor Michelle Malkin ranted that “Fakih’s cheerleaders are too busy tooting the identity politics horn to care what comes out of her mouth” and that “the Miss USA pageant didn’t want to risk the wrath of the open-borders mob.” [5/16/10]

– Conservative author Daniel Pipes, who was briefly appointed by former President George W. Bush to the U.S. Institute of Peace, opined that “this surprising frequency of Muslims winning beauty pageants makes me suspect an odd form of affirmative action.” [5/16/10]

– Fox News’s Gretchen Carlson complained that Woolard’s “informed opinion” may have cost her the crown, and said that Fakih may have won because we live in a “PC society.” [5/17/10]

“This is the real face of Arab Americans, not the stereotypes you hear about,” said Fakih supporter and Arab American Zouheir Alawieh following her win. “We have culture. We have beauty. We have history, and today we made history. … She believed in her dreams.

Yeah, but she’s a damn Muslim!  And this is some kind of liberal, anti-Christian Muslim affirmative action movement thing and the oppressed white bigots of ‘Mericuh will not long stand for it (yes, michele malkin is a pilipina but she is speaking for the white bigots that pay her way).   We have so many problems…global warming, oil spills, unemployment, wars, healthcare…so many others, and now this.  How do we prioritize?  How do we triage this amongst the many important issues that need our attention and illicit our concern?  A summit?  A committee?  A special prosecutor and a grand jury?  That right wing.  They are always on top of the important issues.  No doubt about it.

Miss USA.  Does anyone except the contestants and their families care?  And if so why?

I am going to file this under the emergency file where I keep Abusive Flatulence at VFW Clubs.  Both very, very important issues….
