The Voice of the GOP

Is as whack as the GOP he speaks for.

Tampabay.com ran this article:

Oil Hits Louisiana Coast, Could Reach Florida By Sunday

An oil spill that threatened to eclipse even the Exxon Valdez disaster spread out of control with a faint sheen washing ashore along the Gulf Coast on Thursday night as fishermen rushed to scoop up shrimp and crews spread floating barriers around marshes.

The spill was bigger than imagined — five times more than first estimated — and closer. Faint fingers of oily sheen were reaching the Mississippi River delta, lapping at the Louisiana shoreline in long, thin lines. “It is of grave concern,” said David Kennedy of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. “I am frightened. This is a very, very big thing. And the efforts that are going to be required to do anything about it, especially if it continues on, are just mind-boggling.”

And in this informative piece, for some reason, the notorious hillbilly heroin, probable pedophile, fear mongering face of fascism in America, Rush “It’s the Librul’s Fault” Limbaugh is quoted:

Pundit Rush Limbaugh, who has a home on Florida’s Palm Beach, suggested that the explosion could have resulted from Earth Day eco-sabotage by one of the rig workers. Limbaugh also said a cleanup was unnecessary.

“The ocean will take care of this on its own if it was left alone and left out there,” Limbaugh said. “It’s natural. It’s as natural as the ocean water is.”

Ha!  All the marine life, the reefs, the shores and beaches will just take care of themselves…in a few million years.  And those crazy “Earth Friendly” people probably just tried to destroy a huge ecosystem out of spite.  Now go vote Republican or Rush will sit on you.

Seriously, why would the “journalist” that wrote this piece include anything that the doped and deluded Rush Limbaugh would say?  The “journalist” may as well have added the thoughts of  Tin Foil Freddy, reporting live from his shopping cart under the overpass of I75  and including his thoughts on how deadly rays from the mother ship of the planet Petro was responsible and that the oil spill can be turned into food for all that was added to the piece.

It appears the bar of standards of Tampabay.com are set for a limbo game instead of for journalistic integrity.
