That Didn’t Take Long

smart & popular

Just 10 months into his first term and an Impeach Obama campaign by the right has begun against this smart and popular president.

The Impeach Obama web site has been launched by  Floyd Brown who created the despicable Willie Horton advertisemtn that helped sink Dukakis in his bid against GHW Bush for president in 1988.  As Think Progress points out, Brown’s demand for impeachment is not based on any crimes or misdemeanors, but:

How long must we wait… how long should we sit back and permit Barack Hussein Obama to rip apart the fabric of this country before we take action?

Red Star Are you terrified at Barack Obama’s campaign to change our country into a third-world nation?

Red Star Are you willing to sit back and watch Obama bulldoze our great nation?

Red Star Are you willing to let him construct a totalitarian regime… fascism, socialism, Obamaism… take your pick.

Yeah, Communism, Nazism, Americanism….what’s the dif after all?  And of course, the echo chamber of right wing nuttery is reverberating this call for impeachment.  The rabid World Nuts Net Daily writes breathlessly:

Is It Time To Whisper The Word “Impeachment?”

At the tea party in Washington, D.C., a popular sign read simply, “Impeach Obama.”

As a moderator of discussion on the blog www.exposeobama.com, Floyd has observed the discussion of impeachment is mushrooming amongst conservative activists.

Radio personalityTammy Bruce may have captured these activists’ beliefs about Obama best: “Uultimately, it comes down to … the fact that he seems to have, it seems to me, some malevolence toward this country, which is unabated.”

Of course, proof positive of his “malevolence” towards this country were his effort to get the 2016 Olympic games in the United States.  Certainly there was no “malevolence” towards the country in the response to the failure of those efforts by goons like the ones calling for his impeachment.  Yes, “mushrooming” may be happening, but it is of the hallucinogenic type that these nitwits are ingesting and altering their capacity to deal with reality.

“Malevolence towards this country” seems to be what the GOP is about now.  Perhaps we should launch an “Impeach the GOP” campaign for high crimes and ignorance?

This Republican tempest in a tea cup is quite entertaining.  I just hope they won’t need a larger cup anytime soon.
